Gross loans and leases grew $101.7 million, or 1.5%, from the previous quarter, driven by commercial and real estate lending. Total deposits increased $119.2 million, or 1.8%, during the same period. Net interest income rose to $66.2 million, up 11.3% year-over-year, whilst net interest margin improved to 3.49% from 3.20% a year earlier. The sale represented 43% of her directly held common stock position. Following the transaction, Paquin retains roughly 17,004 shares valued at approximately $641,560. This marks her only open-market sale during the reported period, with prior activity consisting exclusively of purchases and administrative adjustments. The sale followed Univest Financial's first-quarter results released on 22 April, which showed net income of $27.1 million and diluted earnings per share of $0.96, a 21% increase over the prior year. The stock gained over 8% in April.
Univest reported first-quarter 2026 net income of $27.1 million, or $0.96 per share, representing a 24.7% increase in earnings per share compared to the first quarter of 2025. The company's loan-to-deposit ratio decreased 280 basis points year-over-year, whilst the efficiency ratio declined 190 basis points, demonstrating improved operating leverage from recent technology investments. Net interest margin expanded 23 basis points to 3.33%. Credit quality remained strong, with non-performing loans representing 0.25% of total loans and net charge-offs totalling seven basis points annualised. Non-interest income increased 11% year-over-year when excluding bank-owned life insurance death benefits, driven by strength in investment advisory, insurance and fee income. Semnox, Univest Capital launch 0% interest program. Semnox Solutions and Univest Capital have teamed to offer a promotional financing program designed to "help family entertainment centers invest in modern guest-facing technology without the burden of upfront capital." Through this limited-time initiative, the companies report that qualified operators can take advantage of 0% interest financing for 12 months with no money down, with the first payment due a month from signing. "This offer allows venues to implement Semnox card systems and operational technology while preserving cash flow during a year of heavy reinvestment and expansion planning," the company said. "This program is about removing hesitation from the decision-making process," said Phil Showler, the FEC head of sales for North America at Semnox. "Most operators know when updates are needed, but timing and budget often slow progress. This gives them an option to move forward without putting everything on hold, which is critical as guest expectations continue to rise."
