UpKeep secures strategic investment from Accel-KKR to expand AI-native asset operations platform

UpKeep, an asset operations platform serving over 400,000 users in 60 countries, has received a strategic growth investment from Accel-KKR. The funding will accelerate expansion of UpKeep's AI-native platform across maintenance, safety and learning functions. Founded by Ryan Chan, UpKeep has evolved from a computerised maintenance management system into a comprehensive operations platform. Its offerings include UpKeep Safety for health and safety workflows, UpKeep Learn for workforce training, UpKeep Studio for custom applications, and Supernova, an AI platform that automates routine work with manager approval. More than 4,000 companies, including Unilever, Chevron and McDonald's, use the platform to reduce downtime and manage assets. Accel-KKR, a technology-focused investment firm with over $23 billion in commitments, will support UpKeep's continued platform development and AI integration.

UpKeep launches Studio to let maintenance teams build custom apps without coding

UpKeep has launched Studio, a no-code app platform enabling maintenance and operations teams to build custom software applications directly within their CMMS. The platform addresses the $700 billion maintenance industry's reliance on spreadsheets and fragmented tools. Studio offers three development paths: an App Marketplace with ready-made applications, an AI App Builder using natural language prompts with full API access, and Studio Concierge pairing customers with UpKeep engineers for complex builds. The platform launches with over 30 apps covering workflows including asset replacement prioritisation, safety hazard tracking and fleet compliance reporting. UpKeep is opening a Partner Programme for vendors and consultants to build and distribute apps to its 400,000 users across 60 countries. The App Marketplace is included on Premium plans, whilst Studio Concierge starts at $3,000 monthly.
