VB Spine launches European distribution centre in France to cut delivery times

VB Spine, a global family-owned spine company, has begun shipping orders from its European distribution centre in Cestas, France. The facility, which started accepting orders on 1 June 2026, serves as the primary distribution hub for VB Spine products across Europe. The centre is located within VB Spine's Cestas campus, which the company acquired in January 2026. The site integrates manufacturing, distribution, human resources, marketing and surgeon support services. Co-CEO John Viscogliosi said the centre reduces fulfilment and response times for European customers. The company is also developing regional distribution centres in Canada, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Poland and Spain. VB Spine describes itself as the largest privately held spine company globally.

Philips releases AI-powered toothbrush and more digital health news.

Philips releases AI-powered toothbrush and more digital health news. VB Spine signs an agreement to acquire Augmedics' CT-to-fluoroscopy technology, and Oova integrates with Oura to allow women to track hormonal data. Royal Philips has announced the release of the Sonicare DiamondClean 9900 Prestige, an on-device, AI-powered toothbrush with a spatially aware guidance system. The toothbrush's real-time light ring guidance system displays how well users are brushing, including coverage, pressure or scrubbing. Philips' toothbrush has eight modes with three intensities and includes a 12-segment "Mouth Map" on the toothbrush's display to show spots a user has missed while brushing. "With our Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige, we fundamentally reimagined the brushing experience by combining advanced sensing, real-time guidance and AI-powered personalization directly within the toothbrush itself," Francesco Grillo, Philips global business unit leader in oral healthcare, said in a statement. VB Spine, a company that develops spine tools for surgical teams, entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the exclusive rights to augmented reality surgical navigation platform Augmedics' CT-to-fluoroscopy (CT-Fluoro) technology. FDA 510(k)-cleared CT-Fluoro allows surgeons to perform image-guided surgery from a preoperative CT scan as well as from fluoroscopic images obtained with a standard 2D C-arm, meaning surgeons may not need to pause a procedure to acquire a new 3D scan while the patient is on the operating table. VB Spine previously acquired the Augmedics xvision Spine System platform in April, adding augmented-reality surgical navigation tools to its portfolio. "At VB Spine, our goal is to remove barriers that prevent surgeons from accessing technologies that improve procedural efficiency and patient care," Marc Viscogliosi, co-CEO of VB Spine, said in a statement. "The addition of CT-Fluoro technology for spine applications will be an important step forward for the xvision platform because it provides surgeons with greater flexibility in how they utilize navigation." Longitudinal hormone intelligence company Oova has announced a new integration with Oura to sync Oura Ring data on sleep, recovery, mood and energy with Oova's offerings around symptoms and hormones to examine shifts in biological patterns. Oova offers clinical-grade hormone monitoring kits that provide levels of LH, estrogen and progesterone as well as an AI-enabled app with tools to help navigate perimenopause, manage fertility treatment and understand cycle patterns. The integration is available to Oova users with an active Oura membership. "Wearables have become remarkably good at telling women what happened," Dr. Amy Divaraniya, Founder and CEO of Oova, said in a statement. "But most women are still left wondering why. By bringing hormone data, symptom tracking, and wearable insights together, we're helping women understand the biological patterns behind how they feel."
