VDL ETG Switzerland intensifying investments in the aerospace sector. 02 June 2026 12:40 Supporting partner. Wartau - VDL ETG Switzerland AG is adopting a specific focus on the future-oriented aerospace and defense industries. To this end, the company has acquired and refurbished a new production building at its site. It will now seek to secure certification for comprehensive quality management in this sector. (CONNECT) VDL ETG (Enabling Technologies Group) Switzerland AG is laying the foundations for increased involvement the future-oriented sectors of aerospace, aviation and defense. To this end, the company bought a new production building at its site in Trübbach, a settlement in the municipality of Wartau in the Swiss canton of St.Gallen, which it has refurbished over the past year, according to Adrian Belz, Head of Sales and Marketing. Here, the company will be able to implement new projects across a production floor measuring around 6,000 square meters. To support growth in the civil and military aerospace sector, VDL ETG Switzerland AG is investing in new machinery, as Adrian Belz explains further. At present, the company is planning to purchase a new, larger milling machine, which is scheduled to go into operation at its Swiss production site by the end of 2027. Moreover, according to the information, the company is currently in the process of securing EN/AS 9100 certification, which documents comprehensive quality management in the aerospace industry. The company recently acquired a couple of new customers for its new Space and Aerospace market segment. Belz states that "an audit was conducted and successfully completed" by the company for one of these. The first components were reportedly delivered in spring 2026. "At VDL ETG Switzerland AG, Swisstrade value long-term partnerships based on trust, growth and reliability. Its goal is to support customers in the space, aerospace and defense industries with solutions that strengthen their performance and market position".
