VRC acquires AskTuring to boost AI-powered information governance capabilities

Vital Records Control (VRC), a provider of information governance services, has acquired AI platform company AskTuring. The acquisition expands VRC's artificial intelligence capabilities within its technology stack. AskTuring provides AI technology that helps organisations securely access, understand, and use information within their data repositories. VRC plans to integrate AskTuring's technology into its service offerings, including VitalControl®, enabling customers to gain greater insight into information stored physically or digitally. "The acquisition of AskTuring gives us additional AI capabilities that complement our existing technology and creates new opportunities," said Danny Palo, CEO of VRC. The integration will allow customers to better manage and interact with their information, whether stored at VRC facilities, managed internally, or maintained by third parties. VRC will also explore additional AI-driven capabilities across its digital solutions.

Vital Records Control has launched VITAD, a nationwide IT asset disposition service across its 100+ US locations. The service helps businesses securely dispose of retired computers, servers, mobile devices and other electronic equipment whilst protecting sensitive data and supporting environmental recycling practices. VITAD offers two service options: recurring scheduled collections or self-service via collection boxes with prepaid return shipping.
