The merger aims to enhance clinical capacity and advance value-based care. The deal, closed on May 21, is a merger of equity, not a liquidity event. Valera has raised $79.5 million since 2015, with $44.5 million in 2022 and $9.1 million in 2024. Vita Health, based in New Haven, CT, raised $31 million. Valera now employs about 250 clinicians.
