Vector

Mobile-first logistics platform with yard management

Overview

Vector provides a logistics workflow platform that connects shippers, carriers, and receivers to digitize and automate supply chain processes, with a focus on yard management. Its mobile-first tools cover the full shipment lifecycle, including a Yard Management System, digital driver check-in, and an electronic Bill of Lading that digitizes custody transfers. The platform integrates with existing TMS and telematics and lets drivers capture and submit documents from smartphones, enabling real-time yard orchestration and easier billing. Its goal is to help shippers, brokers, and carriers boost productivity, lower costs, and improve supply chain transparency by replacing paper-based workflows with connected digital processes.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Vector claims 30% labor productivity gains and 67% detention-fee cuts.
  • July 2026 site data shows 2,300 trucks live in 60 days with Platform Science.
  • Hundreds of enterprise facilities now run Vector’s eBOL framework from Accenture and Coyote.

What critics are saying

  • Vector has only 45-50 employees, leaving integration execution vulnerable after YardView.
  • Enterprise logistics software faces brutal pricing pressure from SAP, Manhattan, and Trimble.
  • If a major shipper standardizes on a TMS suite, Vector’s standalone workflow layer disappears.

What makes Vector unique

  • January 2026 YardView acquisition deepened Vector’s gate-to-dock workflow moat.
  • Vector pairs eBOL, driver check-in, and yard automation across custody transfers.
  • Customers like Sprouts, Coca-Cola, and Stevens Transport validate enterprise logistics adoption.

Vector Acquires YardView

Vector acquires YardView. Vector, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a workflow platform for the logistics industry, announced its acquisition of YardView, a Castle Rock, Colorado-based provider of yard management and dock visibility solutions. The acquisition expands capabilities across gate, yard, dock, and document workflows for logistics networks. The deal was enabled by the partnership with BVP Forge. Together, the companies will bring expanded resources to serve their customer base, which ranges from yards with fewer than ten dock doors to enterprise shippers. Vector and YardView serve more than 100 shippers across North America. Founded in 1998, YardView provides a Yard Management System (YMS) that connects gate, yard, and dock operations in a single platform, eliminating blind spots with real-time visibility and automation to help teams reduce delays, control assets, and keep freight moving. Led by Will Chu, co-founder and CEO, Vector is a logistics workflow platform provider, offering electronic bill of lading, driver check-in, and yard automation. Shippers, carriers, and receivers benefit from faster throughput, fraud prevention, and real-time visibility throughout the transfer of custody. YardView President Nathan Harris, who has led the company for more than 10 years, will retain equity ownership and continue to advise the business. YardView Chief Operating Officer Heather Giordano will lead the YardView business unit inside Vector.
