Viking Malt, one of Europe's leading malt producers, has received the RMI Excellence Award in the "Smart Investment" category for acquiring BoMill's grain sorting solution, BoMill InSight. The award was presented at the 13th RMI Analytics Global Conference in Lisbon. The BoMill InSight system, installed at Viking Malt's facility in Panevėžys, Lithuania, uses patented technology to sort grain based on internal kernel qualities. The acquisition supports supply chain resilience and sustainable use of local barley. Darius Vilkas, managing director of Viking Malt Lithuania, said the technology has enabled better use of barley resources and greater consistency in malting processes. The RMI Excellence Awards celebrate innovation across the malt industry.
