Virtual Technologies Group names Kevin Farnham as CEO to drive next growth phase

Virtual Technologies Group has appointed Kevin Farnham as chief executive officer. Farnham has served on VTG's board since 2024 and advised on operational initiatives. He brings over 25 years of executive leadership experience in enterprise technology, cloud, IT, and managed security services. As CEO, Farnham will oversee VTG's strategic vision and growth strategy. He previously worked as a senior operating executive with Abry Partners and held positions at Windstream Hosted Solutions and Sungard Availability Services. Nick Jean-Baptiste, managing partner at Jacmel Partners, which backs VTG, has transitioned from CEO to board chairman. Earlier this year, VTG acquired Vector Tech Group and Whitlock IS. The Maumee, Ohio-based company, founded in 1962, currently serves 1,350 customers nationwide.

VTG acquires Vector Tech Group to expand Midwest footprint and IT services

Virtual Technologies Group, an IT, security and cloud services firm backed by Jacmel Partners, has acquired Vector Tech Group, a Midwest provider of integrated IT solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 1991, Vector Tech offers managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud hosting and network infrastructure to clients in education, healthcare, manufacturing, finance and automotive sectors. The company will operate as a VTG subsidiary, continuing to serve existing customers and employees. The acquisition expands VTG's Midwest presence and enhances its service portfolio with Vector Tech's offerings, including three Software as a Service platforms. The combined business will serve manufacturing, education, healthcare, government, financial services and non-profit sectors. VTG recently completed another acquisition, strengthening its position as a comprehensive IT services platform.

Virtual Technologies Group (VTG), an IT and cybersecurity services firm backed by Jacmel Partners, has acquired Whitlock Infrastructure Solutions, a software solutions and IT services company specialising in enterprise IT operations management. Brightwood Capital Advisors arranged financing for the transaction. Founded in 2003, Whitlock provides enterprise service management, analytics and automation solutions, serving sectors including energy, aerospace and defence, and financial services. The acquisition strengthens VTG's commercial enterprise and federal government service capabilities, combining Whitlock's 24/7 FirstCall support and ValueFirst approach with VTG's managed IT infrastructure offerings. The combined platform will deliver end-to-end managed IT and cybersecurity solutions to government agencies, educational institutions and enterprise customers. VTG currently serves over 1,000 customers nationwide.
