Overview

Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada provides housing, employment assistance, and substance abuse recovery services through more than 40 programs in Northern California and Northern Nevada. It operates shelters, transitional and permanent housing, and wraparound supports funded by government grants and community donations, coordinating case management, counseling, and job training. The organization combines a long history and faith-based roots with a broad regional footprint and integrated services across housing, health, and social supports to serve veterans, seniors, at-risk youth, and people experiencing homelessness. Its goal is to help individuals and families achieve stability and independence by securing safe housing and comprehensive supports to reduce homelessness and improve well-being.
