WCB-Alberta administers the Workers’ Compensation Act in Alberta as a government-created, employer-funded program. It provides disability and liability coverage for work-related injuries and illnesses, funded by employer premiums, and compensates workers for lost income while coordinating services to help them recover and return to work. The organization has over 2,000 employees who serve workers and employers with empathy and a people-first approach, guided by values such as service, care, excellence, trust and fairness.
