Aerospace and defense expertise strengthens WireMasters Northeast team. Brian Tallman joins WireMasters as Technical Business Development Manager for the Northeast July 16, 2026 Interconnect supplier WireMasters has appointed Brian Tallman as Technical Business Development Manager for the Northeast Region. He brings 25 years of aerospace, defense and space expertise to strategically support customers and expand the company's presence across the region. Tallman will work with OEMs, prime contractors, and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers across core markets in the Northeast. He will build relationships with engineering, supply chain and program management organizations to help customers define technical requirements and identify the right interconnect solutions at the point where program decisions are being made. WireMasters supplies wire and cable, connectors, harness management, RF and fiber optic products to aerospace, defense and industrial customers. In these markets, customers often need support selecting products that meet specific technical and regulatory requirements, are available when required and come with the quality controls and traceability needed for demanding programs. Tallman joins from W. L. Gore & Associates, where he served as Global Marketing Leader for Aerospace & Defense. In this role, he led global growth initiatives, developed market strategies and expanded strategic opportunity pipelines by more than $800 million. His work spanned defense, space and commercial aerospace markets, giving him broad exposure to the challenges and priorities of major aerospace and defense programs. He also contributed to wiring and connector driven industry initiatives led by Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA), SAE AE-8D, and National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC). "What stood out about Brian was the depth and breadth of his experience across the aerospace and defense supply chain," explained Mike MacBrair, Director of Business Development for North America at WireMasters. "He has spent nearly three decades working directly with engineering teams, program managers and executive stakeholders on mission-critical programs, so he understands the technical and commercial challenges its customers face. "His ability to bridge technical expertise and commercial leadership is exactly what our customers in the Northeast need from a business development partner. We are delighted to welcome him to the team." Throughout his career, Tallman held leadership roles spanning business development, product management, strategic marketing and business unit leadership. He worked closely with engineering teams and program managers to identify opportunities, define requirements and support new product introductions for advanced interconnect and data transmission technologies across mission-critical programs. At WireMasters, Tallman will identify and pursue new program opportunities across strategic aerospace, defense and space accounts. He will drive demand creation and design-in activity for interconnect, wire and cable, harness management, RF, fiber-optic and value-added solutions, while coordinating supplier expertise and technical resources to support program wins from concept and qualification through to production. Tallman commented, "I have always enjoyed working at the intersection of technology and customer need, whether that means helping to define a technical requirement or developing a long-term growth strategy. WireMasters has a strong reputation for technical knowledge, product availability and customer support, so this role is a natural fit. I am looking forward to working with customers across the Northeast and helping them find the right solutions for their most demanding programs." The appointment strengthens WireMasters' technical business development team as aerospace, defense and space customers across the Northeast increasingly look for a supplier partner that can engage early in the design process and support programs through to long-term production agreements. GDI has raised $15 million to commercialise its 100% silicon anode technology for lithium-ion batteries. The round was led by W. L. Gore & Associates, with participation from InnoEnergy, Impact NY, Helios Climate Ventures and others. The funding will support two industrial-scale production lines in Germany and New York State, with initial output expected this year. GDI's silicon anodes replace conventional graphite entirely, removing the need for binders and carbon whilst addressing supply chain risks. The company reports third-party testing has achieved energy densities of 350Wh/kg and operation at temperatures as low as −40°C. Through a partnership with AGC, GDI targets gigawatt-hour scale production by 2031. The company holds 44 issued or allowed patents across North America, Europe and Asia.
