Wand, formerly WeMod, makes desktop software that modifies single-player PC games. A player can lower difficulty, add resources or XP, slow the game down, strip out tedious mechanics, and switch any of it on or off mid-session, while guidance features layer maps, teleportation, custom pins, and clip capture over the game. The company says it supports more than 3,500 games and has been used by over 40 million players, and it runs a free tier alongside a paid Wand Pro tier. Unlike a wiki or a walkthrough video, which means leaving the game and risking spoilers, the help appears in the session. Its goal is to keep people playing the games they bought by letting them set their own terms.

Monthly update - August 2026. In August, Compass expanded from a single game to every game with Live Location tracking. The home screen started refreshing its Popular Highlights daily with new community clips, and the Cyberpunk 2077 map picked up a heatmap of where the action tends to happen across Night City. And the library kept growing, with 65 new games, mods updated for 218 more, and 35 new maps on Wand Maps. This month's Highlights. * Compass now works in every game with Live Location. When Compass launched last month it only worked in Palworld. Now, it works in every game with Live Location tracking. Pick a pin, toggle Compass on, and a small compass in the corner of your screen points you there, tightening into a precise mark as you get close. You can also start it before you're even in-game: mark a pin from the web, the desktop app, or the mobile app, and it carries into your session. It's the middle ground between exploring blind and skipping the trip with Teleport. * A home screen that keeps up with the community. The Popular Highlights on your home screen now refresh daily, pulling from a rotating set of standout clips other players have captured, so there's something new to watch each time you open the app. Wand has more updates coming soon for those clips and where they show up in the app. * A heatmap of the action in Cyberpunk 2077. Its new heatmap feature rolled out to the Cyberpunk 2077 map. You can now toggle a heatmap that shows where players' recorded kills and deaths cluster across Night City, so you can see at a glance where things tend to happen and watch the clips to see the exact spot. This month in games. In August Wand added 65 new games, updated mods for 218 games, and published 35 new maps on Wand Maps. A few of the new arrivals: * Mortal Kombat 1 (Xbox/PC Game Pass) * Final Fantasy VI (Xbox/PC Game Pass) * EA SPORTS College Football 27 * The Sinking City 2 * Buckshot Roulette (Xbox/PC Game Pass) * QUAKE (Xbox/PC Game Pass) * The Planet Crafter (Xbox/PC Game Pass) * Mortal Shell II * Beast of Reincarnation (Xbox/PC Game Pass) * Prehistoric Kingdom * Expeditions: Samurai * Suzerain * How to Fish On the maps side, August brought a full set of Beast of Reincarnation zones, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Mortal Shell II, and the Mistfall Hunter maps, alongside more Halo: Campaign Evolved and DOOM: The Dark Ages levels. Improvements & fixes. Here's what else shipped this month. Improvements * Auto Highlights now has its own section in Settings, with a single switch to turn the feature on or off across all supported games * You can now choose a custom folder for where your saved clips are stored, instead of the default location * The Popular Highlights on the videos page load from a thumbnail first, so the page opens faster and only plays a clip when you hover it * Your video library loads faster and pulls more clips at once, so the page fills in sooner instead of in small batches * Upcoming games now show which mods are on the way before launch day * Amazon Pay now completes at checkout again, after a signing issue that was blocking it * Fixed a black screen some players hit when launching the app right after the early-August update * The games list on wand.com loads correctly again on longer lists * Checklists on maps render correctly again * Fixed a case where a title could briefly drop out of the game list * Fixed an error that could appear around pinned mods * Maps in the app banner now show in a consistent order
Monthly Update - May 2026. May brought several new features to Wand. Mission Explorer for Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy gives you a visual map of every mission in a game so you can see every prerequisite, every branch, and how everything connects. The video editor now lets you show your keyboard and mouse inputs inside your recorded highlights. Fog of War on Wand Maps entered beta. The game library kept growing. And a lot of work happened underneath the surface, making everything faster and more reliable. Here's the full picture. Mission Explorer. Some games are sprawling. Cyberpunk 2077 has hundreds of missions across main jobs, side jobs, gigs, Tarot cards, Cyberpsychos, and more. Most of them connect to each other in ways that aren't obvious until you're already deep into the game. Mission Explorer shows you the whole picture. Every mission, every prerequisite, every branch, laid out as a visual graph you can filter, search, and navigate. You can see what you've completed and what you'd need to do first to reach a specific mission. If you've ever tried to plan a particular ending, this is what you've been waiting for. Available now for Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy. Find it in the sidebar on the game page. Wand is working on bringing Mission Explorer to more games soon, so let Wand know which ones you'd like to see next. Input overlay in video editor. Wand can now record your keyboard and mouse inputs during highlight capture and overlay them directly into the clip. This overlay is visible in the video itself, so when you share a clip, whoever's watching can see exactly what you were doing at every moment. It's useful for breaking down a difficult sequence, explaining a setup to a friend, or just revisiting something you'd like to understand better. Fog of War on Wand Maps (beta). Wand Maps now has a Fog of War mode in games that support live location. When Fog of War is enabled, the map starts obscured and clears around you as you move through the game world, revealing pins and areas as you reach them. Your progress saves across sessions and picks up wherever you left off across web, mobile, and the Wand app. If you'd rather see the full map, you can toggle it off at any time from the map layer controls and reset it whenever you want. But for players who prefer to discover things at their own pace without accidentally seeing where everything is, Fog of War mode is the way. Also this month. * Cash App added as a payment method * Nearby pin notification cooldown A two-minute cooldown now prevents nearby-pin alerts from stacking up when you're already in the area. If you've ever had alerts fire repeatedly while standing near a cluster of pins, you'll appreciate this one. * Subnautica 2 Wiki Subnautica 2 launched in Early Access this month, and Wand launched with Maps, Wiki, and Game Guide available from day one. This month in games. In May Wand added 74 new games, updated customizations for 233 games, and published 17 new maps on Wand Maps. A few highlights: * Subnautica 2 * Outbound * LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight * 007 First Light * Blades of Fire * Paralives * Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core * Batman: Arkham Knight (Xbox/PC Game Pass) * Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Improvements & fixes. Beyond the highlights above, here's what else shipped this month. Improvements. * Carousel videos now auto-play on hover instead of requiring a 3-second wait to preview * Sidebar play button now shows setup info (if required) before automatically launching the game * Video capture gets an automatic retry pass if the initial capture fails * Videos on unsupported game Clips pages now display correctly * My Videos now opens with an updated default sort and grouping * Nearby pin notifications now include Found and Dismiss actions so you can mark a pin directly from the alert * Multi-pin search added to Maps * A Recently Updated tab is now available in Pulse * Map sort order and filtered pin search behavior improved * Free users can now disable Game Guide from within the app Bug fixes. * More Video Settings button now navigating correctly to video settings page * Mod values now normalize correctly to defaults on reset and reload * Null player location delta causing incorrect map sort results was fixed * Sign-in failure on Wand Remote was fixed Under the hood. A lot of May's engineering effort went into the platform infrastructure improvements like video pipeline reliability, plugin loading, maps and wiki infrastructure, app performance and stability, and a range of other platform internals.
