The Culmore Clinic relocates while its new home is built. February 19, 2026 The Culmore Clinic, a nonprofit that provides free and low-cost healthcare to lower-income residents of Seven Corners and Culmore, is temporarily relocating. The clinic plans to reopen next Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Columbia Crossroads Baptist Church at 3245 Glen Carlyn Road in Bailey's Crossroads. "We will have all the same services, including primary care, optometry, labs, and everything else," said Executive Director Lynette Sappe-Watkins. The clinic had to vacate its current location, at First Christian Church, at 6165 Leesburg Pike in Seven Corners, because the church is undergoing a major renovation in connection with the development of housing on its property. Wesley Housing is developing an affordable housing project called Kindred Crossing with 95 independent living units for seniors next to the church. The groundbreaking is expected in late spring. When the project is completed, in about two years, the Culmore Clinic will move into the Kindred Crossing building. The clinic had actually been located in Columbia Baptist Church before it moved to First Christian in 2019. The Culmore Clinic provides medical services and counseling four days a week to adults with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level. It serves as a lifeline to immigrants without insurance who wouldn't otherwise have access to healthcare. Your email address will not be published. Required fields are marked *
