World Business Lenders

World Business Lenders

Real estate secured business loans

Overview

World Business Lenders (WBL) is a direct lender that provides real estate secured loans to small and medium-sized businesses that are often underserved by traditional banks. WBL offers working capital across various sectors, such as trucking, telecommunications, and mining, with loans secured by real estate to reduce risk for the lender while enabling business growth. The loans are funded by WBL, and the company earns revenue from interest and loan-related fees during application and servicing. In practice, customers apply for financing, undergo underwriting, and receive funds secured by property, with repayment built around the borrower’s cash flow. WBL differentiates itself by focusing on underserved markets and using real estate collateral to lower risk, supported by an experienced management team. Its goal is to help small and mid-sized businesses access reliable capital to grow and expand, while maintaining prudent risk management and profitability.

World Business Lenders secures $250M investment, becomes majority institutionally-owned

World Business Lenders (WBL) has secured a $250 million investment from its primary financing partner, making the company majority institutionally-owned. The financing partner now holds the largest single institutional equity position, whilst founder and CEO Doug Naidus remains at the helm. The investment bolsters WBL's balance sheet and capital access, providing institutional validation of its business model. The company plans to use the funds to scale its products, operations and lending footprint, including launching additional loan programmes and origination channels in 2026. WBL provides short-term real estate collateralised commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses, short-term residential rentals and customers lacking access to traditional funding. The company also services loan portfolios and specialises in managing non-performing loans and real estate owned properties.
