Wrike launches conversational platform to build AI agents.

Wrike launches conversational platform to build AI agents. SAAS: Adoption of Software Has Tripled in Past Year July 22, 2026 SAN DIEGO - Enterprise adoption of software company Wrike's artificial intelligence features has tripled since June 2025. In that time, the company launched the ability to design and deploy agentic systems within Wrike's software to help workers more efficiently manage tasks like reviewing and organizing incoming requests, checking for potential compliance issues and overseeing project operations. Alongside those AI agents, the company also launched an agent building platform in which users could create new agents from freeform prompts entered into a standard chat interface. "What we found is there are definitely customers that are builders in nature that like that approach, because it enables them to go in and describe exactly what they want, customize it at the prompt level and then be able to create more of a deterministic outcome by using those clear triggers and status changes," Wrike CEO Thomas Scott said. However, not every user has those technical skills and the ability to write detailed prompts, Scott said. The company also found, in a November survey of 1,000 employees in 10 industries across five countries, that less than half of employers provide any kind of company-wide training on AI systems. As a result, Wrike began developing a more conversational AI agent creation platform, which launched earlier this month. "You go in and you describe a problem that you're trying to solve, and that triggers a series of back-and-forth discussions between the user and the builder to help narrow down what it is that you're actually trying to solve from a workflow perspective," Scott said. "It gives you a much more coherent experience if your technical bar is a little bit lower, and you're not looking to become an expert at building a specific agent, you're really looking at being an expert at solving the problem that's in front of you," Scott added. Wrike previously launched a task automation platform a few years ago that was intended to achieve some of the same goals as its AI agent builder system, but was relatively rudimentary in its reliance on simple "if, then" statements and was generally inflexible if those automation rules changed. Scott argued its broader agentic systems and the conversational AI agent builder platform effectively solve those problems for Wrike's customer base, which is mainly comprised of marketing and professional services companies, portfolio management offices and corporate product launch departments, but many of its users, and its power users in particular, are not technical or corporate IT workers. "They're familiar with the application, but they're typically not a developer that (we're) working with," he said. "So this makes it easier for them to describe a process or a workflow where they've got a great deal of familiarity and be able to do that in natural language and set this up very quickly." Fast growing. According to Wrike, users have executed more than 5.5 million AI agent actions since the company launched its agentic systems in January while reducing process time by 93%. Roughly 60% of the company's customer base is in North America, with 30% in the middle east and Africa and the remaining 10% in the Asia-Pacific region. While Wrike's customers include companies like Lyft, T-Mobile and Nvidia, Scott said the company works with clients of any business size. More than 2 million workers in 140 countries use Wrike in some capacity, which has enabled the company to grow steadily at around 10% annually and remain profitable. Scott argued that the conversation AI agent builder is one method of helping companies narrow their focus on how to leverage AI tools most efficiently while also maintaining the trust of the workers who are actually using the tools. "If you come in (saying), 'we're going to change everything,' then you've got way too much resistance and you don't have a way to show value to the people who are involved in the process right now," he said. Maintaining that user trust relies on ensuring that AI technology has a demonstrated benefit for both the processes for which its used and the users themselves, as opposed to attempting to force users to integrate AI in tasks that may not benefit from it. "When we have these conversations with our own customers today," Scott said, "the thing that comes through overwhelmingly is (for) the technology that we're building, trust matters as much as the intelligence question." Wrike Now Offers a Strategic Portfolio Management Solution to Bridge Strategy and Execution, Enabling Organizations to Plan and Deliver True Transformation

Wrike now offers a Strategic Portfolio Management solution to bridge strategy and execution, enabling organizations to plan and deliver true transformation. July 14, 2026 This new offering gives leaders real-time visibility, from boardroom decision to ground-level delivery, so every strategic investment can be tracked to a measurable outcome. SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 14, 2026 - Wrike, the trusted work delivery platform for people and AI, today announced the launch of its new Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) solution. Wrike SPM powered by ShibumiR provides organizations with an anchor point between high-level strategic planning and real-time operational execution. This gives executives the visibility they need to lead with clarity and confidence and deliver the business transformation their organizations demand. Today's macroeconomic environment requires Project Management Offices (PMOs) to shift their approach to outcome-driven portfolio management. Most enterprise organizations are not ready. Strategic plans live in one system, and the work that is supposed to deliver them happens somewhere else entirely. The result is what Wrike calls the "Fog of Business," which involves executives making portfolio decisions against data that is days, weeks, or months out of date, PMOs burning hours on manual reconciliation, and no reliable way to know whether strategic investments are actually moving the needle. Wrike's new offering positions the company at the forefront of this market evolution, delivering a fully mature, enterprise-ready solution out of the box. "The pressure to transform is real, but transformation fails when strategy and execution live in two different worlds," says Alexey Korotich, Chief Product Officer at Wrike. "Wrike SPM doesn't just eliminate the 'Fog of Business.' It transforms how organizations work entirely, replacing manual reconciliation, stale reporting, and disconnected systems with a live connection between strategy and execution. Leaders can make faster decisions, direct resources toward what actually matters, and know with confidence whether their investments are delivering measurable outcomes." Wrike SPM covers the complete transformation journey, from strategic planning to operational execution, closing the gap between where organizations want to go and how they actually get there. In doing so, it addresses the most pressing challenges facing modern enterprises: * Connected Planning: Eliminate the disconnect between high-level business goals and daily execution by unifying financial targets and tactical work in a single platform, powered by the real-time data teams work from every day. * Dynamic Scenario Modeling: Empower leaders to compare different scenarios before they commit. Give clarity into what happens if they move forward now, delay another initiative, or reallocate capacity to make room, all without disrupting ongoing workflows. * Automated Value Realization: Reduce manual PMO overhead with automated data collection and forecasting that translates daily progress into strategic business insights. "Shibumi's SPM capabilities and board-level strategic expertise, combined with Wrike's industry-leading work delivery platform and project execution capabilities, deliver a best-in-class, end-to-end strategy execution solution," says Bob Nahmias, CEO of Shibumi. Early access to Wrike SPM has already generated strong interest among Wrike's enterprise customer base. By delivering live strategic portfolio views without the friction of syncing data between systems, it allows teams to effortlessly model scenarios and make trade-off decisions to execute on the important work that drives their transformation goals.
