WunderGraph helps developers build, connect, and deploy APIs from across data sources. It provides a SaaS platform with features like authentication, S3-compatible storage, and client libraries for TypeScript and React, plus support for multiple databases. Developers can define data sources, secure access, and generate type-safe APIs that apps can consume, without writing boilerplate code. Unlike generic API tools, WunderGraph bundles data access, security, and client SDKs into one platform, speeding up how teams expose and consume APIs. The goal is to help businesses and developers quickly create reliable, scalable APIs and integrations for their apps and services.

WunderGraph has launched Hub, a design and governance platform for engineering teams using GraphQL Federation. The platform enables structured approval processes for API schema changes before development begins, addressing coordination bottlenecks in large organisations. Hub validates schema proposals against governance rules, enforces subgraph ownership and runs consumer-impact checks before any code is written. If a proposed change would break existing consumer queries, Hub flags it during the design phase. The platform has been in private beta since August 2025 with enterprise partners including eBay, SoundCloud and On The Beach. At eBay, single features can require schema coordination across over 20 teams. Hub integrates with WunderGraph Cosmo and other federation routers and registries, and is now generally available.
WunderGraph launches Cosmo Connect to bring the supergraph to Every API - no GraphQL rewrite required.
When Stefan Avram joined WunderGraph in 2022, the company was at a crossroads.
A fledgling open source startup that's setting out to tackle API sprawl in the GraphQL ecosystem has secured the backing of e-commerce giant eBay.
WunderGraph, as the company is called, today said it has raised $7.5 million in a Series A round of funding to scale its open source GraphQL federation.
