The goal of the project is to reduce Scope 3 emissions generated by companies' supply chains, as stated by the company. As part of this initiative, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government supports companies that use SAF or biofuels for their air and sea freight transport by collaborating with selected freight forwarders. It covers all or part of the additional costs incurred from using these alternative fuels.
