Saint Laurent names ex-Isabel Marant CEO as deputy chief executive. Anouck Duranteau-Loeper will join Saint Laurent as deputy chief executive on 1 July, after nine years with Isabel Marant. Duranteau-Loeper will bring extensive directorial experience to the new post, having served almost a decade at French luxury label Isabel Marant, where she acted as deputy CEO from 2016 before rising to CEO in 2019. Prior to Isabel Marant, she was general manager at French fashion house Paco Rabanne between 2013 and 2016. She worked at Lvmh in strategy and operations (2004-2009), before moving to Céline, where she was director of leather goods and accessories for almost five years (2009-2014). The move was confirmed by Kering to US website Women's Wear Daily, after this May's announcement of Isabel Marant's newly appointed CEO, Cetherine Jacquet, former Fear of God COO. The news of Duranteau-Loeper's appointment comes as sales at Saint Laurent's owner Kering Group are in decline. During the first quarter of 2026 (January-March), group revenue was down 6% year on year to €3.5bn (£3.04bn). The business reported that revenue in its fashion and leather goods category, including Saint Laurent, was down 9% year on year at €2.8bn (£2.43bn). However, Saint Laurent reported strong performance in shoes and ready-to-wear. Drapers has contacted Saint Laurent for comment.

Carven names design director.

Carven names design director. French luxury house Carven has appointed Kai Nesselrath to design director, succeeding Mark Thomas, who exited in April. The German-born designer will present his debut collection during Paris Fashion Week in October. Nesselrath joins from a decade at Saint Laurent, which culminated in almost two years as head designer for womenswear. Prior to this, he did a brief seven-month stint at Chanel under Karl Lagerfeld. Carven began its revival in 2023. In February, it hired Louise Trotter to the design director role, who was instrumental in its turnaround. Her success at the maison forged her path to Bottega Veneta, where she has worked as creative director since December 2024. Founded by Marie-Louise Carven (who died in 2015 aged 105) in 1945, Carven has used the last two years as a design reset, reigniting the modern yet relaxed brand codes set by its founder eight decades ago. Raised in Rome, Nesselrath attended the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, before training at both Central Saint Martins and Polimoda. Nesselrath said: "Excited to join Carven, with lightness and optimism. I love clothes, spaces and conversations that encourage breathing. It's an honour to keep Madame Carven's values alive. I am very grateful to Shawna [Tao, CEO of Carven] for her trust and the journey ahead together." Tao added: "We are very pleased to welcome Kai to Carven. A new generation's perspective on the world feels especially important today. The essence of Carven is a fresh and courageous creator's spirit, and we believe Kai is uniquely suited to interpret and express it."
