Prometheus Security Group Global and Zignal Labs have been awarded a $74,292 AFWERX SBIR Phase I contract to evaluate integrating portable Zero Trust physical security technology with open source intelligence capabilities for the Department of the Air Force. The Phase I effort will explore fusing PSG's modular physical security systems, which include hardware-rooted device authentication, with Zignal's collection and alerting capabilities. The goal is to extend force protection warning windows by combining physical security sensor data with open source intelligence, providing security forces earlier warning and greater operational context. "Force protection is a standoff problem, and everything we've built for fifty years buys standoff in metres," said Thomas E. Segars Jr., PSG's Director of Strategic Security Programmes. The proposed approach aims to extend protection beyond physical perimeters, particularly for dispersed, expeditionary locations.

Zignal Labs has launched Zignal AI, a platform architecture that transforms publicly available information into structured intelligence for mission systems and agent-driven workflows. The company also unveiled updates to ZEN, its SaaS intelligence platform, adding AI chat, inbox and multi-agent capabilities. Built on over 15 years of experience processing high-volume, multimodal public data, Zignal AI delivers mission-ready outputs including narrative detection, geolocated visual intelligence and structured intelligence artifacts. The platform can be accessed through ZEN, APIs, partner integrations or embedded directly into customer systems. Zignal AI is already integrated into Peraton's IRIS platform, where it supports cognitive and operational workflows. CEO Adam Beaugh said the focus is on transforming fragmented information into structured intelligence that agents and systems can act upon with confidence.
