ZipRecruiter, a leading online employment marketplace, announced the appointment of Carmen Chan as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 17, 2026. Ms. Chan will oversee the company's Accounting and Finance organizations and help drive ZipRecruiter's long-term financial strategy, operational excellence, and value creation initiatives. As of the date that Ms. Chan assumes the CFO role, Dave Travers will continue his role as President of ZipRecruiter, but will no longer serve as the interim Chief Financial Officer. "Carmen is a proven finance leader with deep expertise in technology, capital markets, and investor relations," said Ian Siegel, CEO of ZipRecruiter. "Her experience helping leading technology companies grow and her strong relationships within the investor community make her an excellent addition to our leadership team. We are excited to welcome Carmen to the team." Ms. Chan joins ZipRecruiter from Barclays, where she served as Managing Director, advising technology and internet companies on financing and strategic transactions. Before joining Barclays in 2023, Ms. Chan spent several years at Noom, a leading digital health company, as Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations. There she evaluated potential acquisitions, scaled the finance function and supported major investor relations milestones, including a $540 million raise in 2021. Prior to Noom, Ms. Chan spent more than five years at Goldman Sachs where she held investment banking roles within the technology, media and telecommunications group. She also previously served as Head of Revenue and Business Development at theSkimm, a digital media company. Earlier in her career, she held investment banking roles at UBS across its London and Sydney offices. Ms. Chan has been recognized for her leadership in the financial industry, including being named to American Banker's Most Powerful Women in Banking NEXT 2025 list. "I am honored to join ZipRecruiter and help advance its mission of actively connecting people to their next great opportunity," said Ms. Chan. "I have watched this business from the outside for years, and what drew me in is the platform's real trust and engagement with job seekers and employers alike. I am looking forward to partnering with the leadership team to build on that foundation and create long-term value for shareholders." ZipRecruiter launches new AI feature to Automate recruiter outreach. Smart Outreach eliminates manual recruiting legwork, using AI to automate personalized candidate outreach so hiring teams can connect with the right talent fast. ZipRecruiter(R), a leading online employment marketplace, added automated candidate outreach to its Resume Database. The new feature, called Smart Outreach, uses AI to turn a job description into a personalized message series sent to candidates. With a click, hiring teams can start conversations with candidates without manual follow-up or time wasted. More than 80% of job seekers say they would be more interested in a role if an employer reached out proactively about it[1]. ZipRecruiter's Resume Database and Smart Outreach are built around this dynamic - empowering hiring teams to start the conversation sooner. "Employers shouldn't have to spend hours drafting follow-ups and chasing candidate responses," said Megan Allen, Chief Product Officer, ZipRecruiter. "Smart Outreach handles that work for them, creating and optimizing messages to candidates so recruiters have more time to focus on what matters: building the relationships that lead to great hires." Resume Database helps hiring teams quickly find qualified candidates from a pool of more than 50 million job seekers[2]. With Smart Outreach, recruiters can instantly turn their candidate pipeline into real conversations without spending hours writing emails or manually following up. Instead of chasing responses, teams can focus on connecting with the right people: * Generate personalized outreach instantly. Smart Outreach uses AI to turn job descriptions into customized, editable messages for selected candidates, virtually eliminating manual email writing. * Automate follow-up effortlessly. Up to three messages are sent over time - or until a candidate replies - to get a candidate conversation started with minimal work. Resume Database also includes new productivity tools that enable hiring teams to: * Export resumes with the click of a button. Export resumes directly into a preferred ATS via ZipRecruiter's Resume Database Webhook integration. * Quickly spot new, engaged talent. Activity badges and filters help to instantly identify new candidates, recently updated resumes, and highly active job seekers. * Review candidates faster. Get access to resumes and candidate contact info directly from search results, and move seamlessly from candidate to candidate with a new Candidate Carousel. ZipRecruiter reported quarterly revenues of $108 million, meeting expectations, whilst statutory losses per share of $0.06 came in 61% better than analyst predictions. Following the results, the stock rose 23% over the past week. Analysts now expect 2026 revenues of $449.9 million, roughly flat year-on-year, whilst the loss per share is forecast to narrow 53% to $0.14. The average price target increased 18% to $3.33, with estimates ranging from $3.00 to $3.50. The forecasts suggest ZipRecruiter's declining revenue trend will stabilise, marking an improvement from the 9.8% annual decline over the past five years. However, this remains below the broader industry's expected 15% annual growth rate.
ZipRecruiter reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of $107.5 million, beating the midpoint of guidance. The online employment marketplace posted a net loss of $4.7 million, whilst adjusted EBITDA of $9.7 million exceeded the high end of guidance. CEO Ian Siegel said the company launched its next-generation search and matching AI engine during the quarter, which drove increased engagement across multiple metrics. ZipRecruiter's platform connects employers with job seekers through AI-powered matching technology. The company released its Q1 results on 7 May 2026. President and interim CFO David Travers joined Siegel on the earnings call.
ZipRecruiter has launched a ChatGPT app that brings job search directly into OpenAI's conversational AI platform. The integration allows users to search millions of job listings from ZipRecruiter's marketplace by typing "@ziprecruiter" followed by their search criteria within ChatGPT. Job seekers can specify preferences including salary, location, remote work options, experience level and posting date to receive matched opportunities from actively hiring employers. Users can then view full job details and apply directly through ZipRecruiter's platform. "Job search doesn't have to happen in the traditional paradigm of a job site," said Ian Siegel, ZipRecruiter's co-founder and CEO. The app is now available in ChatGPT's app library, extending employer job postings into AI-powered discovery channels whilst meeting job seekers where they already are.
