  • A valid credit and/or background check is required as part of the selection process.
Responsibilities
  • Lead governance and maintenance of Internal Audit policies, procedures, job aids, and related guidance, including reviewing standards changes annually and updating methodology documentation as needed.
  • Monitor conformance with audit practice requirements, reinforce documentation and re-performance expectations, and help ensure audit work aligns with internal methodology and IIA standards.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and the Policy & Practice Steering Committee to evaluate exceptions, approve or escalate deviations, and drive remediation when additional audit work or methodology corrections are required.
  • Manage multiple assurance or advisory engagements at a time.
  • Lead engagements from planning through completion in accordance with professional and internal standards, including identifying key risks and controls in engagement plans, coordinating and reviewing engagement staff work, summarizing issues, recommendations, and conclusions in engagement reports, and managing client relations; perform the highest-complexity engagement tasks as needed.
  • Use analytics and data visualization tools to perform full-population testing, and identify new ways to audit through data analytics, continuous auditing, or other technologies.
  • Manage engagement teams of approximately one to ten associates, assist with engagement resource management, and provide team members real-time coaching and feedback on soft and technical audit skills.
  • Drive ongoing risk assessments that inform the risk-based audit plan.
  • Develop relationships across the enterprise and serve as a trusted business advisor to clients, internal risk partners, and others.
  • Contribute to initiatives and drive the unit to become more agile and innovative.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Nationwide hits record $73.2B in sales as insurer enters 100th year

Nationwide has reported record financial results for 2025, entering its centennial year with total adjusted capital of $32.8 billion, the highest in its 100-year history.
