Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least two years of operations leadership experience in home healthcare.
  • Multi-state or regional leadership experience.
  • At least eight years of experience in home healthcare, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with business growth and development.
  • Knowledge of state regulations.
  • Frequent travel to states in the designated territory: Nevada, Washington, Idaho, and Utah.
  • Successful completion of criminal background, driving record, Office of Inspector General Exclusion List, and Sex Offender Registry checks.
Responsibilities
  • Provide market leadership and direction for the effective management of operations and delivery of home health agency services, strategic planning, and attainment of market and company goals and objectives.
  • Assist with training and orienting new Executive Directors as assigned.
  • Provide leadership to appointed regions and assist in strategic planning supporting market growth, including census, staffing, retention, utilization, and compliance.
  • Oversee appointed regions' annual operating budgets.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly meetings with Executive Directors in appointed regions.
  • Ensure appointed regions' performance and operations follow all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to home-based care.
  • Ensure recruitment and retention of adequate support and clinical staff to meet patient needs and provide prompt admissions for referrals.
  • Maintain a patient-needs-based staffing system that defines the required number and mix of clinical and office support staff.
  • Work with the sales team and local leadership to develop and execute growth strategies.
  • Report appointed regions' monthly key performance indicators to the leadership team and create action plans addressing opportunities and deficiencies.
  • Maintain working knowledge of and ensure agency management adheres to Medicare Conditions of Participation and the State Operations Manual where applicable.
  • Directly and indirectly supervise market staff.
  • Assist with satisfactory on-site surveys by regulatory bodies related to home health.
  • Participate in developing the company-wide Performance Improvement Plan with the Executive Team and Clinical Coordinators.
  • Establish communication between the Executive Team, Clinical Coordinators, and staff, and promote professional working relationships with departments and agencies.
  • Apply principles of human resources and applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and attend company committees as requested.
  • Exercise authority through appropriate channels to ensure delegation and empowerment of staff.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree; an MBA is desirable but not required.
  • Department of Labor and Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act experience.
