Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • At least two years of operations leadership experience in skilled home healthcare is required.
  • Multi-state or regional leadership experience is required.
  • At least eight years of experience in home healthcare, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with business growth and development is required.
  • Knowledge of state regulations is required.
  • Frequent travel to states in the designated territory is required.
  • The role requires regular attendance and punctuality, the ability to work with people at all levels of the company, exceptional customer service, and honesty.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with training and orienting new Executive Directors as assigned.
  • Provide leadership to appointed regions and assist in strategic planning for market growth, including census, staffing, retention, utilization, and compliance, aligned with company objectives.
  • Oversee appointed regions’ annual operating budgets.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly meetings with Executive Directors in appointed regions.
  • Ensure regional performance and operations comply with regulatory requirements, including local, state, and federal regulations related to home-based care.
  • Ensure adequate recruitment and retention of support and clinical staff to meet patient needs and ensure prompt admissions of referrals.
  • Maintain a staffing system based on patient needs that defines the number and mix of clinical and office support staff required.
  • Work with the sales team and local leadership to develop and execute growth strategies.
  • Report monthly regional key performance indicators to the leadership team and create action plans to address areas of opportunity or deficiency.
  • Maintain working knowledge of, and ensure agency management adheres to, Medicare Conditions of Participation and the State Operations Manual in states where applicable under licensing requirements.
  • Directly and indirectly supervise market staff.
  • Assist with satisfactory on-site surveys by regulatory bodies concerning home health.
  • Participate in developing the company-wide Performance Improvement Plan with the Executive Team and Clinical Coordinators.
  • Establish clear communication among the Executive Team, Clinical Coordinators, and staff, and promote professional working relationships with other departments and agencies.
  • Apply human resources principles and comply with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and attend company committees as requested.
  • Exercise authority through established channels to ensure delegation and staff empowerment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Department of Labor and EEOICPA experience is strongly preferred.
  • A master's degree is preferred; an MBA is desirable but not required.
