TIG Welder
About the job
- At least 2 years of TIG welding experience in manufacturing, HVAC, fabrication, piping, or related industries.
- Experience welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum components is required.
- Ability to produce high-quality, precision TIG welds that meet engineering specifications.
- Experience using TIG welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Ability to work either day or night shifts based on production needs.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to distinguish the full spectrum of colors.
- Safety shoes are required; additional personal protective equipment is provided by the employer.
- Perform precision tungsten inert gas welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum components.
- Weld sheet metal, piping, frames, and fabricated assemblies to engineering specifications.
- Assemble HVAC and chiller components, including frames, piping, panels, and structural assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, shop orders, and work instructions.
- Perform first-article inspections and identify dimensional or quality defects.
- Use welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively across departments and shifts to support production goals.
- Support continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
- Use enterprise resource planning systems and Microsoft Office tools for production tracking and inventory support.
- Train across multiple production areas and assist where needed.
- Perform all work in a 100% indoor manufacturing environment.
