Scrap Crane Operator
About the job
- At least 2 years of experience operating mobile or crawler cranes, including Liebherr, Sennebogen, or Link-Belt equipment.
- Knowledge of scrap metal types and grading.
- Ability to work independently.
- Basic math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to support others as part of a team.
- Ability to follow and communicate instructions clearly.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Sort scrap materials by type and quality.
- Operate an E-crane or crawler crane to load trucks, railcars, and balers.
- Move crane equipment throughout the yard as needed.
- Maintain material flow by cleaning out scrap spreads.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a team-focused environment.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across yard operations.
