Requirements
  • A degree in Business Administration or a related field equivalent is required; equivalent education and experience may substitute for the required qualifications.
  • Three to four years of management experience is required, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day Environmental Services operations to ensure the hospital's operational needs are met.
  • Oversee cleaning and disinfection, waste management, linen services, integrated pest management, and room setup.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and Environmental Services standards and regulations.
  • Partner with hospital leaders to coordinate Environmental Services activities, schedules, priorities, and service expectations.
  • Assist the Director with operational plans, budgets, policies, procedures, and department strategies.
  • Manage staffing, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and corrective action.
  • Plan, assign, and oversee the work of supervisors and other direct reports.
  • Monitor department performance and implement best practices to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and patient care.
  • Support specialized patient care areas including Operating Rooms, intensive care units, patient care floors, and the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with hospital leaders, staff, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure continuity and quality of services.
