Requirements
  • Hold an active Utah DOPL Journeyman Electrician license or Master Electrician license in good standing.
  • Have a demonstrated background performing commercial and/or industrial electrical installations; residential-only experience is not sufficient.
  • Have proven experience leading job-site crews and managing or mentoring apprentice electricians.
  • Have thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code and strong proficiency reading riser diagrams, single-line diagrams, and electrical prints.
  • Have verbal and written communication skills and comfort using mobile or project-management apps for daily site reporting.
  • Understand field safety standards and have experience operating specialized lift equipment, including scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds; work on ladders, scaffolding, and at heights; work outdoors in varying weather; and stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Be willing to travel 50%–75% to regional commercial and industrial installation sites.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee installation of commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage systems, switchgear, transformers, and control panels.
  • Supervise daily on-site work, assign tasks, enforce safety standards, and train apprentice electricians in installation techniques, code, and site protocols.
  • Plan, lay out, bend, thread, and run EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit, and pull wire and cables according to engineered drawings and National Electrical Code requirements.
  • Read and interpret electrical riser diagrams, engineered single-line diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment specifications.
  • Perform electrical terminations, system troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance, and support final commissioning with engineering teams.
  • Enforce Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, NFPA 70E standards, local electrical codes, and company safety guidelines across the crew and work site.
  • Complete daily job-site reports, progress updates, time tracking, and material usage records, and manage on-site tool and equipment inventory.
  • Communicate with site managers, customers, and internal project managers.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Have direct experience installing commercial battery energy storage systems, commercial solar photovoltaic systems, generators, or microgrids.
  • Have advanced proficiency bending large-diameter EMT and rigid conduit.
