Singapore partners with GetYourGuide to take local experiences global.

Singapore partners with GetYourGuide to take local experiences global. Published on: 14th October 2026 at 11:50 AM Singapore is looking to bring more of its tourism experiences to international travellers through a new two-year partnership with global experiences platform GetYourGuide. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GetYourGuide to develop, distribute and promote tours and activities in the destination to travellers worldwide. The agreement was signed at GetYourGuide's Berlin headquarters by CEO and co-founder Johannes Reck and STB chief executive Melissa Ow. The partnership will focus on identifying traveller trends, developing new and enhanced experiences with local tourism businesses, and exploring joint marketing campaigns to encourage more visitors to discover Singapore. The two organisations will share insights into traveller preferences and demand to identify opportunities to strengthen Singapore's tourism offering and ensure experiences reflect changing visitor interests. They will also work with local tourism stakeholders and experience providers to broaden the range of activities available to international visitors. The agreement marks GetYourGuide's first destination marketing partnership with a national tourism board in the Asia-Pacific region. Reck said the partnership would help connect Singapore's attractions and experience providers with travellers around the world. "We're proud to bring more visibility to Singapore's best things to do to the world," he said. Ow said the agreement would provide another channel for Singapore to reach international travellers while helping local tourism businesses expand their global reach. "Visitors today increasingly seek experiences that are meaningful and memorable, and Singapore has so much to offer on that front," she said. "We look forward to welcoming more travellers to discover what makes Singapore truly special."

Discover more Travel News Subscription Travel Destination Guides Travel Trends Report Alongside the new experiences partnership, Thomas Cook has also expanded its travel protection services through a collaboration with Cover Genius, a global provider of embedded insurance solutions. The partnership introduces two new protection products for Thomas Cook customers booking holidays in the UK. Travellers can choose between a comprehensive travel insurance option and a trip cancellation protection plan, allowing them to select coverage based on their individual needs. The comprehensive travel insurance policy includes protection for key travel concerns such as medical expenses, holiday cancellations and lost baggage. Meanwhile, the cancellation protection option provides coverage if customers are unable to travel due to specific unexpected circumstances covered under the policy. Travel Trends Report Cover Genius delivers embedded protection solutions for major travel and digital brands across international markets. Its XCover platform supports millions of customers in more than 60 countries by managing insurance coverage, policy services and claims. All coverage management and claims processes will be handled through the XCover platform, creating a streamlined digital experience for travellers. The latest partnerships reflect Thomas Cook's continued focus on expanding its holiday ecosystem beyond traditional bookings by offering customers more destination experiences and stronger travel protection options before and during their trips. Peter Smith, SVP Travel at Cover Genius said: Discover more B2B Travel Media Travel Guides & Travelogues MICE Travel Advisor "When we asked travellers what protection matters most, two things came out on top: emergency medical cover and trip cancellation. That's why we've put both at the heart of the Travel Comprehensive and Trip Cancellation plans we've built for Thomas Cook, alongside protection for delayed departures, baggage loss, theft or damage, and 24/7 emergency assistance. There's a clear need to give travellers greater confidence when they book. Our research shows that 87% of consumers think about what could go wrong before making a purchase, while 79% of those who have previously bought protection report high satisfaction with it. This launch is just the first step in our partnership with Thomas Cook, and we're excited to build on it and bring even more relevant protection to their customers over time." Travel Trends Report All Thomas Cook package holidays will continue to benefit from ATOL protection, ensuring customers receive stronger financial security while also enjoying confidence through the company's commitment to following the standards set out in the ABTA Code of Conduct. Jakub Bajorski, Chief Product Officer at Thomas Cook, said: "We're thrilled to be expanding our ancillary offering with these two new partnerships that will change how holidays are shaped with Thomas Cook. Thanks to GetYourGuide, customers will now have access to a huge range of experiences around the world, from guided tours and major attractions to family activities and more off-the-beaten-path options. At the same time, our partnership with Cover Genius gives holidaymakers even greater choice when it comes to protecting their break." Customers travelling with Thomas Cook can choose from an extensive portfolio of more than 20,000 hotels across 72 destinations worldwide. The options cover popular regions throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, giving holidaymakers a broad range of choices for leisure trips, family breaks and international getaways. Bookingkit and NaviPartner form strategic partnership.

Bookingkit and NaviPartner form strategic partnership. Bookingkit has joined forces with Denmark's NaviPartner to offer a one-stop-shop for leisure experiences and attractions. NaviPartner is a Microsoft Solutions Partner for retail, attractions and hospitality, while Bookingkit is a platform for booking, marketing and managing leisure experiences. By combining NaviPartner's on-site operations and entry management expertise with Bookingkit's channel management offering, the partnership aims to create a seamless process from the first sale through to on-site redemption. Attractions operate an increasingly complex technology landscape, and ticketing, access control, retail and financial processes need to work together, while sales have to reach visitors across a growing number of online channels. The partnership will bring these two worlds together: NaviPartner will deliver the unified on-site backbone through its NP Attraction platform, while Bookingkit provides one of the world's most powerful channel managers to distribute those experiences across leading sales channels. Meanwhile, NaviPartner customers will gain access to high-reach distribution channels, thanks to Bookingkit's technical integrations with online travel agencies such as GetYourGuide, Viator, and Google Things to do. The partnership will also boost each company's regional strengths, with Bookingkit contributing in-depth knowledge of the German and wider European market, while NaviPartner brings an established footprint across the Nordics to the table. The two companies already share clients such as Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. "Attractions today need more than just a ticketing system. They need connected solutions that help them sell across multiple channels, manage visitor flows, and create engaging experiences," said Mark Stewart Pederson, chief executive of NaviPartner. "Through our partnership with Bookingkit, our customers can benefit from a more integrated approach where online sales, distribution, ticket validation, and operational processes work together seamlessly. This partnership enables attractions to reduce complexity, improve efficiency, and focus on delivering memorable experiences for their visitors."

GetYourGuide launches 'Book Forward to It' campaign celebrating travel planning

GetYourGuide has launched its 2026 global brand campaign, "Book Forward to It", challenging the myth that the best travel experiences happen spontaneously. The campaign, developed with creative agency Preacher, targets the 80% of travellers who prioritise preparation over impulse. The integrated campaign runs across TV, connected TV, digital video, out-of-home, radio, paid social and streaming audio in the US, UK, France and Germany. It features four hero films showcasing real travellers in Mexico, Italy, Spain and off-the-beaten-path destinations, demonstrating how memorable moments stem from advance planning through the GetYourGuide app. The campaign follows GetYourGuide's landmark year achieving profitability, €1 billion in revenue in 2025, and 33 million experiences booked. The company recently appointed Rob Rekutriak as chief product officer and launched a ChatGPT app.
