  • A bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Six to eight years of large-scale commercial or industrial project management experience, including at least four years of management-level safety professional experience, is required.
  • Experience developing Job Hazard Analyses and Pre-Task Plans for construction sites is required.
  • OSHA 510, OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry, is required.
  • OSHA 500, OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry, is preferred.
  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety, and Industry Standards are a plus.
  • The position requires travel to and from job sites and office locations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments.
  • Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety and health programs on premises or at project site locations.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as the primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
  • Plan, implement, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
  • Provide project management teams with guidance on health and safety and confirm that project sites fulfill industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to project managers.
  • Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Report project status to the Project Management team.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide regular on-site project presence.
  • Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • Review Job Hazard Analysis documentation and create Pre-Task Analysis Plans for all project activities.
  • Develop site-specific safety plans tailored to individual project needs and requirements.
  • Ensure that all employees and trade partners adhere to the company's safety requirements.
  • Manage accident reporting and investigations.
  • Manage equipment and structural damage reporting.
  • Ensure that all workers are properly trained and maintain proper records for safe site practices.
  • Manage corrective actions addressing safety issues.
  • Create and maintain relationships between subcontractors and general contractors.
