Requirements
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly complex environment.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a maintenance team.
- Hands-on experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Experience with preventive maintenance, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) inventory, and maintenance costs.
- Experience in food manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with predictive maintenance, reliability programs, Root Cause Analysis, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with industrial utilities, automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, or similar systems.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule, coach, and develop the maintenance team.
- Oversee maintenance across multiple buildings, equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
- Manage the CMMS, including work orders, maintenance history, planning, scheduling, and reporting.
- Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and repeat failures.
- Manage maintenance priorities, backlog, MRO inventory, spare parts, and department spending.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors and monitor the quality, cost, and completion of work.
- Partner with Operations and other departments to support equipment reliability and minimize disruption.
- Support capital projects, equipment improvements, and new equipment installations.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with predictive maintenance, reliability programs, Root Cause Analysis, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with industrial utilities, automation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, or similar systems.
- Technical degree, trade certification, engineering background, or equivalent experience.
