  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including clear writing and confident facilitation, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences and build trust with colleagues, vendors, and leadership.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience across project management, data analysis/reporting, and technology or operations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to run multiple projects and incoming requests simultaneously, ideally using agile/Kanban methods and a work-management or ticketing system such as Asana or Autotask.
  • Hands-on experience performing data analysis and reporting, building dashboards and reports with Power BI and Google Sheets/Excel, and preparing and transforming data through ETL-type work.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategy, deliver an initial solution quickly, and iterate and improve it over time.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and solve ambiguous problems with high attention to detail.
  • Comfort using AI tools and willingness to experiment and innovate with them.
  • Ability to identify and leverage generative AI tools, such as large language models, image generators, or industry-specific copilots, to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance output quality while maintaining human checkpoints.
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering and the critical-thinking ability to audit, fact-check, and refine AI-generated content for accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Foundational understanding of ethical AI implications, including data privacy, bias recognition, and responsible use of company information in third-party AI environments.
  • Ability to remain focused, adaptable, and solution-oriented during challenges, setbacks, ambiguity, pressure, or changing circumstances.
  • Ability and comfort to participate in an on-camera meeting culture.
  • Ability to attend work-related in-person meetings and functions as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end project management from intake through delivery for Data, Analytics and Technology initiatives, including data migrations, information technology operations improvements, and the central data-layer buildout.
  • Manage scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders using agile/Kanban methods; align people on outcomes, owners, and deadlines; keep work visible and moving; anticipate blockers; and keep initiatives and the team on track.
  • Cultivate cross-departmental relationships and drive projects to completion while coordinating the work and contributing directly, including supporting the central data warehouse/data-layer strategy.
  • Serve as a resource for turning data into decisions across teams.
  • Build and improve minimum viable product workflow automations and solutions that remove manual work across teams, then iterate based on real use and feedback.
  • Translate staff pain points and ideas into documented, repeatable, right-sized workflows and train others so improvements scale.
  • Drive initiatives to completion while coordinating and contributing directly to the work.
  • Support software and hardware administration and asset lifecycle management for software-as-a-service applications, laptops, and office technology, including coordination with third-party technology vendors.
  • Support artificial intelligence adoption efforts through hands-on help with pilots, education and training, documentation, and change management.
  • Support selection, implementation, and administration across the software-as-a-service application stack, including Google Workspace, Snowflake, Power BI, Vena, ADP, and Greenhouse.
  • Help improve and automate helpdesk and support functions where possible; monitor and elevate recurring issues; and propose and help implement process enhancements.
  • Attend required organizational retreats and team or department meetings as part of the role’s business travel expectations.
  • Attend work-related in-person meetings and functions as needed.
Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as Gemini, Claude, and Cortex.
  • Experience in a healthcare, nonprofit, or other mission-driven setting.
  • Awareness of information security or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act concepts.

Upstream USA is a nonprofit that reduces unplanned pregnancies by expanding access to a full range of contraceptive options. It partners with healthcare centers nationwide to improve how reproductive care is delivered and to support patient autonomy and choice. The organization works by training healthcare providers, offering technical resources, and streamlining clinic workflows so patients can receive effective contraceptive care—often during a single visit, including long-acting options like IUDs and implants. It differentiates itself by pursuing large-scale systems changes within the healthcare infrastructure using a data-driven approach to measure impact, ensuring improvements are sustainable beyond initial training. Its goal is to lower the rate of unplanned pregnancies across the United States, thereby expanding life opportunities for individuals to decide if and when to become pregnant.
