Requirements
  • An Occupational Therapy degree is required.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligibility to register upon graduation, is required.
  • Candidates should be committed to developing their abilities through effort, learning, and tenacity.
  • Candidates should be willing to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Candidates should be committed to clear, simple communication so supported people can understand the services provided.
Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic, positive behaviour, and employment supports to people with disability in community or clinic settings.
  • Understand each person's needs and barriers, then develop and action plans that build capacity and maximise independence.
  • Participate in the 12-month Graduate Program, including the six-week induction, monthly clinical workshops, personal growth sessions, supervision, mentoring, and training.
  • Build knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and develop report-writing skills.
  • Choose suitable work settings, including home, cafés, clinical hubs, or team spaces.
