Experienced Dental Assistant

- Previous dental assistant experience is required.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software is preferred, specifically Dentrix Enterprise.
- Certified Dental Assistant and CPR certifications are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Regular attendance is required, with potential for varied hours.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to shifting schedules.
- Willingness to travel between offices as needed.
- Assist the dentist or hygienist during treatments and escort patients to and from treatment rooms.
- Take and develop dental X-rays.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following sanitation protocols.
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatments.
- Provide follow-up instructions and schedule future appointments.
- Handle emergencies by following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in daily huddles, team meetings, and training workshops.
- Manage inventory and supplies while limiting waste.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate empathy and patient-service orientation when patients are experiencing discomfort.
- Use strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Be organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and strong follow-through skills.
