About the company

Otter builds restaurant software that brings in-store, pickup and delivery orders into one system for independent quick-service businesses and larger restaurant groups. Its point-of-sale platform connects ordering channels with kitchen screens, menu management and sales reports, so staff can follow orders from checkout to preparation. Restaurants also use its online storefronts, kiosks and loyalty tools to take direct orders and manage guest relationships across ordering channels. The business sells monthly software plans per location, with hardware bundles and payment-processing charges that vary by plan and card volume. Otter is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
