A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering is required, though equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities
Review and understand the scope of RFQ opportunities provided by the sales team.
Estimate material and labor costs for fabricated components.
Develop detailed proposals for sales engineers.
Create bills of material and job routing.
Develop cost-effective, high-quality designs, concept drawings, and detailed shop drawings for fabrication.
Work with the shop to understand best manufacturing practices and ensure design for manufacturability.
Obtain quotations and issue purchase orders for parts and services.
Lead cross-functional reviews of RFQ packages with sales, shop, and procurement to ensure shared understanding of scope during kick-off meetings on larger projects.
Communicate design ideas to the sales group and customers, and serve as a liaison between the shop and sales group.
Stage material and confirm that the bill of materials and job materials are accurate on larger job orders.
Manage multiple quotes and projects simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications
Three to five years of experience is preferred.
General understanding of stainless steel welding and manufacturing processes is preferred.
Experience within the stainless-steel fabrication and sanitary process piping industry is preferred.

The Fabrication Engineer will develop detailed shop drawings, create bill of material and job routing, gather and analyze financial data to estimate and allocate costs for a current or proposed product or project. And support the production teams by assisting with material readiness and schedule tracking.

Education and Required Experience
