  • An Allopathic Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) physician who is board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program.
  • A current Oklahoma medical license and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)/Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (OBNDD) registration.
  • Other licenses and board certifications required for the specialty or area worked.
  • Formal Norman Regional Health System (NRHS) Medical Staff privileges for the specialty or area worked, including age-specific competency.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and obtain pertinent information for diagnosis and treatment of medical problems.
  • Order further testing and refer patients to other medical providers as necessary for appropriate medical management.
  • Document appropriately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and complete all necessary forms and correspondence for proper patient care in a timely manner.
  • Foster staff development to fulfill current and future requirements of individuals and the organization.
  • Provide a safe environment for patients and staff.
