About the job
- In-depth knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows XP support and technical troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge or experience with PC imaging and remote-control support tools.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 applications and standard office software, including Lync, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer 8/9, and related applications.
- Audio/visual experience, including Polycom video-conference support and use of audio and web-sharing technology.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SCCM.
- Ability to perform basic move/add/change work for Cisco VoIP telephones.
- Ability to communicate issues concisely to management, users, and peers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience working on a large team, following direction, contributing ideas to achieve team goals, and improving processes.
- Ability to follow and enforce established processes and security guidelines and communicate them effectively to users.
- Ability to provide customer support through prompt problem resolution, ticket management, and user follow-up.
- Ability to complete tasks by target dates and lift boxes containing computer equipment.
- Experience using Remedy or an equivalent incident, request, change, and problem management system.
- Organization and time-management skills.
- Self-motivation, willingness to learn, and focus on continuous improvement.
- Provide second-level end-user support for computer systems, including software and hardware, and equipment such as printers, plotters, and telecommunications devices.
- Troubleshoot problems and repair or replace equipment.
- Support on-site conference meetings, including video conferences and web meetings.
- Provide client-side PC support, including troubleshooting and break/fix of PC hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Support account management, printing and plotting, video conferences, and special events or meetings.
- Provide ongoing operational support for Windows 7 and complete special assignments or projects as business dictates.
