Develops, finances, and operates renewables.
Pattern Energy develops, owns, and operates utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects, plus the transmission lines that move power, across North America, Japan, and Mexico. It manages the full project lifecycle—from development and financing to construction, ownership, and long-term operation—selling electricity mainly through long-term power purchase agreements to utilities and other load-serving entities. The company differentiates itself with an integrated ownership model backed by CPPIB and Riverstone, a cross-border portfolio, and a focus on owning and operating the assets and transmission, not just development. Its goal is to grow installed capacity and secure stable, long-term cash flows by expanding its portfolio and completing major infrastructure projects, targeting continued expansion beyond its roughly 6.0 GW of installed capacity.
