About the job
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Reliable high-speed internet, a working webcam, and a headset or microphone for virtual meetings are required.
- Comfort learning and using multiple software platforms is required; Google Workspace or Microsoft Office is required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently are required.
- Some experience in an educational setting, such as a school or tutoring, is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a caseload of families, building trust, answering questions, and acting as their primary contact.
- Conduct intake calls with new families and set expectations clearly and confidently.
- Build and manage class schedules across multiple students, teachers, and platforms.
- Communicate proactively with families about scheduling, progress, and concerns via phone, video, and written correspondence.
- Monitor student progress and flag concerns to the appropriate specialist.
- Coordinate with instructors to ensure sessions run smoothly.
- Use scheduling platforms, spreadsheets, video conferencing, and customer relationship management or case management tools in daily work.
- Represent Tutor Me Education professionally in interactions with families.
- Support basic oversight of compliance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Section 504 accommodations.
- Prior experience in a remote or virtual role is strongly preferred.
- Customer service, account management, or client-facing experience is preferred.
- Special education experience, including experience with IEPs, 504 plans, or students with disabilities, is strongly preferred.
- General education or tutoring experience is considered alongside strong communication and virtual-operation skills.
