Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Electrical Engineering or power engineering, or an Electrical Technologist diploma.
  • One to three years of experience in sales, customer service, or a technical role; internship or co-op experience is considered.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn about complex products and solutions.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Experience in the electrical, automation, or energy industries.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management software and sales tools.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales within assigned territories through prospecting, networking, and following up on leads.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering technical presentations to customers that showcase the value of products and services.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's product portfolio, including electrical, automation, and energy solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to provide accurate and effective solutions to customer challenges.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by providing technical guidance and support throughout the sales process.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and long-term relationships.
  • Participate in training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and sales skills.
  • Shadow senior sales specialists to learn best practices and gain hands-on experience in complex sales scenarios.
  • Set and achieve performance goals aligned with progression to a senior-level role.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Provide feedback to product management and marketing teams to improve offerings and address customer needs.
