Install, configure, and administer Windows Server 2012.
Configure advanced Windows Server 2012 roles and services.
Maintain existing Windows Server 2008 R2 Branch Office infrastructure configuration.
Install and configure the Hyper-V Server role.
Deploy and manage a server virtualization environment using Microsoft technologies.
Have knowledge of System Center products, including Data Protection Manager and Virtual Machine Manager.
Use Windows PowerShell to administer and automate administration of Windows-based servers.
Use Windows PowerShell to automate the management and configuration of virtual infrastructure environments.
Troubleshoot network protocols.
Use third-party tools to formulate conclusions about the state of the virtualization environment.
Use monitoring and reporting tools.
Develop methodologies and practices to manage and plan system capacity based on projected growth rates and maintain acceptable system performance.
Develop and execute high-availability, disaster-recovery, and failover technology for physical and virtual server environments.
Implement backup and restore strategies for virtual machines.
Have knowledge of networking technologies used in virtual environments.
Deploy server images and templates.
Have knowledge of Microsoft's Distributed File System.
Communicate technical procedures and processes to non-technical users.
Work with teams, vendors, and consultants to determine strategies for complex system changes, upgrades, and implementations.
Participate in problem-management reporting, resolution, and documentation in the Change, Asset and Problem Reporting System.
Develop server configuration, maintenance, and operations documentation

Job Description

Distributed Infrastructure Design, Configuration and Deployment Support

Purpose: Support the design, configuration and deployment of Windows Server 2008/2012 Managed Member Servers (MMSs), Failover Servers (FS1s) and Application Managed Servers (AMSs).

Qualifications
