Requirements
  • Have sufficient technical expertise of z/OS, JES2 or JES3 operating systems, and related operating programs and facilities to effectively operate the Mediaocean mainframe system
  • Work with self-initiative
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of BMC AMIOPS, Control-M would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Jes3 DJC networking would be an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Operate z/OS JES3 operating system
  • Have sufficient technical expertise to monitor/maintain required customer response at all times
  • First level of error detection and diagnosis of all response time issues
  • Run daytime & nighttime production for EU & US systems
  • First level of error detection and diagnosis in all daily processes
  • Highlight and report on any failures, problem areas and incidents via Ops tickets
  • Maintain and monitor Ops ticket database and assign all tickets
  • Investigate all response time issues received via response time tickets
  • Understand ZOS JCL and be able to perform initial problem diagnosis on failures
  • Produce clear incident reports and work logs via the ops ticket system
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with senior staff and on-call support staff during the problem resolution process
  • Recalling resources from offsite storage
