Requirements
  • Completion of at least a Master's degree in Audiology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) and a Massachusetts license to practice Audiology.
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and an orientation to client-centered practice.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct adult audiological evaluations, including pure-tone and speech audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, and otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) for the Veterans Evaluation Services Program.
  • Dispense amplification, including consultation, selection, fitting, and troubleshooting of devices.
  • Select and fit musician hearing protection.
  • Occasionally supervise graduate speech-language pathology students conducting hearing screenings in local schools.
  • Provide services following the policies and procedures of the Speech-Language and Hearing Center.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain practice licensure and certification.
  • Complete all documentation.
  • Participate in programs or initiatives required by the Clinical Director or regulatory agencies, including billing requirements and performance improvement activities.
