  • A bachelor's degree is required; Labor Relations, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in a human resources or Employee Relations role is required.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of employment law, including state and federal employment regulations, is required.
  • Ability to plan negotiation strategies with unions concerning collective bargaining and arbitrations.
  • Proven knowledge of union response strategies and techniques.
  • Ability to develop executive-level presentations and implement strategic direction.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve internal team member complaints.
  • Ability to interpret collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor Employee Relations members at all sites.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the coordination and organization of labor relations activities, including contract administration, contract negotiations, grievance administration planning, and discipline administration planning.
  • Facilitate weekly Employee Relations Trend meetings with Employee Relations managers of U.S. MOBIS corporations, prepare reports, and facilitate resolution of issues raised in meetings.
  • Research and prepare background information for collective bargaining negotiations, including cost-effectiveness analyses based on knowledge and experience regarding hourly payroll.
  • Conduct research on union-related matters and analyze collective bargaining agreements to interpret the intent, spirit, and terms of contracts.
  • Assist in developing and applying employee relations strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Work with Employee Relations members at each corporation to identify and create innovative solutions to solve and prevent problems.
  • Provide advanced Employee Relations expertise and represent MOBIS's interests regarding company policies, procedures, guidelines, practices, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding workplace elements and interactions.
  • Develop and maintain databases, generate reports, and use data to make recommendations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the third-party intervention response strategy and manage related training for Employee Relations members.
  • Maintain relationships and coordinate, when necessary, the sharing of employee relations issues with OEM automotive plants and suppliers.
  • Prepare written reports, correspondence, and presentations for senior leadership as needed.
  • Keep current with legal, labor relations, and industry trends.
  • Model compliance with company policies.
  • Travel occasionally or work extended hours based on business needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Professional Human Resources certification, such as Professional in Human Resources or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional, or higher.
  • Working knowledge of workplace violence prevention, intervention, and resolution, and experience working with a Crisis Intervention Team.
  • Experience working in a unionized company; negotiation experience with the United Auto Workers is preferred.
  • Payroll operation and auditing experience.

UK's Envisics closes Series C at $105M to accelerate AR holographic heads-up display tech

Milton Keynes-based Envisics announced it closed its Series C funding round at $100M (approximately €93M). The dynamic holographic technology company previously secured $50M in March, led by Hyundai Mobis, with participation from InMotion Ventures and Stellantis Ventures. M&G Investments led the latest tranche, with existing investor Van Tuyl Companies participating. The funds will accelerate product development and international expansion. Envisics develops holographic technologies for augmented reality heads-up displays (AR-HUDs) in vehicles. The technology projects information onto windscreens whilst adapting to ambient light changes and consuming 50 per cent less power than conventional systems. The company's investor roster now includes Tarsadia Investments, GM Ventures, Hyundai Mobis, InMotion Ventures, Stellantis Ventures, SAIC Motors, Van Tuyl Companies, and M&G Investment.
