Requirements
- An appropriate credential in echocardiography: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada; Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Responsibilities
- Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population.
- Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.
Desired Qualifications
- Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
- Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
