About the job

Requirements
  • Eight or more years in solution consulting, implementation consulting, or application delivery within healthcare software.
  • Four or more years leading a team, with at least some experience leading through other leaders.
  • Demonstrated ownership of solution design and configuration decisions on complex enterprise implementations.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare IT integration concepts, including Health Level Seven (HL7), Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM).
  • Experience defining or materially improving a delivery methodology, not only working within one.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Clinical workflow fluency across radiology, cardiology, and specialty service lines.
  • Operational and administrative workflow fluency across imaging operations, scheduling, reporting, and departmental reporting structures.
  • Product configuration depth sufficient to review a design and identify what will fail under real volume.
  • Consultative influence to move customers from preference toward leading practice and frame trade-offs in terms of organizational outcomes.
  • Judgment on when standardization should allow an exception and when an exception is being rationalized.
  • Quality discipline across build validation, test design, and acceptance, with a bias toward finding defects before the customer does.
  • Instructional capability across clinical, technical, and administrative audiences.
  • Ability to build repeatable consulting practices by codifying strong consultant practices.
  • Ability to lead through managers, setting standards and holding them rather than stepping in to do the work.
  • Credibility with executives and ability to translate between clinical intent and technical constraint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Consulting Services practice across the implementation lifecycle, spanning discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Set the discovery and design methodology the practice delivers against, including required artifacts, design reviews, sign-off points, and traceability from configuration decisions to the customer's stated objectives.
  • Establish and enforce configuration standards grounded in leading practice, and manage the exception path when a customer requirement warrants deviation.
  • Own the clinical, operational, and administrative workflow standards guiding solution design across radiology, cardiology, specialty service lines, imaging operations, scheduling, and reporting workflows.
  • Lead customers to design decisions that advance organizational goals, including turnaround time, throughput, site consolidation, standardization across facilities, and cost per study.
  • Define adoption measures for delivered solutions and hold the practice accountable to them following go-live.
  • Validate scope at the pre-sales handoff and route gaps identified in discovery through change control.
  • Own internal build quality, including configuration validation and functional testing completed before a solution is presented to the customer.
  • Own the customer UAT approach, including test plan design, scenario coverage across clinical and administrative workflows, defect triage, and documented customer acceptance.
  • Define go-live readiness criteria and hold the sign-off decision for solution readiness.
  • Define stabilization exit criteria and the handoff to Support and Customer Success.
  • Own the customer education strategy, including curriculum design, role-based learning paths, and the delivery model across live, remote, and self-service channels.
  • Build and maintain the training content library for clinical, technical, and administrative audiences, and keep it current against product releases.
  • Measure training effectiveness against competency and adoption outcomes rather than completion counts.
  • Manage practice utilization and billable capacity, and forecast consultant demand against the implementation pipeline.
  • Serve as the senior solution authority with customer clinical and IT leadership on design decisions and escalated disputes.
  • Partner with Service Delivery and Technology Operations on engagement staffing, sequencing, and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Build the capability and certification model defining consultant competency levels across products, service lines, and engagement complexity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience with PACS, VNA, enterprise viewers, modality worklist, or cardiology imaging platforms.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, or a clinical credential such as RT(R) or RN.
  • Experience building a certification, competency, or career progression model for a consulting team.
  • Experience standing up a customer education or training function.
  • Experience supporting a perpetual-to-subscription or on-premises-to-cloud transition.
  • Experience with regulated software delivery, including validation and documentation obligations.

Truven launches AI-powered tool to evaluate real-world healthcare data in minutes

Truven has launched MarketScan Snapshot, an AI-powered tool that enables users to assess real-world healthcare data in minutes using plain language queries. The capability allows researchers to explore MarketScan Research Databases without programming experience or medical coding knowledge. MarketScan Snapshot addresses a significant time bottleneck in real-world evidence research. "The real-world evidence community can spend days or even weeks just getting to an initial answer on whether a cohort exists," said John E. Linnehan, Truven's vice president and head of real-world data. The tool returns patient counts and summary statistics dashboards to help teams evaluate cohort feasibility quickly. The platform accesses MarketScan's longitudinal closed-claims data, which includes over 300 million cumulative lives, 95 million active lives, and 99% claims completeness, with records dating back to 1995. Complimentary access is available to qualified organisations evaluating the MarketScan Research Databases.

Cúram Action View module for caseworkers now generally available.

Cúram Action View module for caseworkers now generally available. Merative announced on June 25 that Cúram Action View, a new module designed to help health and human services caseworkers, is now generally available. The company said the tool aims to help agencies address increasing caseloads and rising expectations by improving efficiency in workflows. Cúram Action View consolidates key information such as active benefits, recent notes, household composition, application status, and pending actions into one connected view. Merative said this reduces time spent searching for information and helps ensure decisions are informed and consistent. According to the company, the module allows caseworkers to act without leaving the page - updating details, resolving verification issues, recording notes, or progressing other work directly from the main interface. The company reported productivity gains of up to 80 percent across major workflows with Cúram Action View. The tool is also built to support future AI-enabled casework functions, including assistive knowledge, contextual insights, decision support, and agentic artificial intelligence. Merative stated that Cúram Action View was developed in partnership with more than 35 caseworkers and supervisors across five agencies through sponsor user and early adopter programs. Caseworker feedback shaped the design of the solution. Users described it as a "game changer," saying "seeing the status instead of reading is huge" and "saves tons of time." One participant said, "I would use this on every call, it would be my starting point." The company said Cúram Action View empowers caseworkers to start with context, act confidently, and complete work faster while providing more consistent support for those who depend on them.

Merge PACS outlines eight key user requirements for reliable imaging workflows.

Merge PACS outlines eight key user requirements for reliable imaging workflows. Apr 26, 2026 Merge announced on Apr. 16 that its Merge PACS platform addresses eight main user requirements to support reliable and efficient imaging workflows in healthcare organizations. The announcement comes as many healthcare providers face challenges related to adopting artificial intelligence, modernizing their technology infrastructure, improving clinical usability, and maintaining data security at scale. Merge PACS is designed to help both clinical and technical teams meet these needs while ensuring consistent delivery of patient care. The company highlighted that Merge PACS is "AI ready," allowing integration with various AI vendors such as Aidoc. The system displays AI results directly in the worklist and viewer, enabling physicians to access findings without navigating multiple systems. For breast imaging, Merge PACS supports structured AI content from several vendors including Volpara, Therapixel, Hologic, and iCAD. The platform emphasizes interoperability by accommodating both standard outputs and vendor-specific differences. Regarding deployment options, Merge PACS supports full cloud-based setups as well as hybrid models so organizations can transition at their own pace while preserving existing investments. Performance remains a focus; each software release undergoes validation against benchmarks to ensure study retrieval speed meets expectations across different environments. Usability enhancements have been implemented based on customer feedback. These include dynamic worklist refreshes and expanded region-of-interest tools aimed at reducing friction during interpretation. Customization features allow departments to tailor workflows for specific subspecialties or service lines through configurable worklists and batch processing capabilities. Data integrity is addressed by supporting centralized image lifecycle management when integrated with solutions like Merge VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive). This approach helps reduce inconsistencies during transitions from standalone systems to enterprise-wide deployments. Additional features are available for mammography and tomosynthesis support within breast imaging workflows. Security remains a foundational element of the platform; regular updates align with evolving standards and protect patient data while ensuring compliance with broader IT strategies. According to the company statement: "Keeping up to date with each new Merge PACS release reduces risk and supports resilience for our customers." The ongoing maintenance allows faster adoption of new clinical capabilities without disruptive overhauls. Merge stated it is committed to customer-driven innovation: "One of our guiding principles is helping organizations standardize where it matters while preserving flexibility where it counts." The company encourages teams planning cloud or hybrid migrations or evaluating AI enablement initiatives to reach out for further information.
