Job Description
This position will provide end-to-end support for our associates who are on a leave of absence or other company approved leave. You will work with a combination of production, office, and sales associates across US & Canada, our third-party leave administrator, HR leaders, Supervisors, and the Payroll team. In this fast-paced role, you’ll provide excellent customer service to our 7,500 associates while administering all the back-office functions of leave administration.
Position location – This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule. You can expect to work 3 days a week onsite at our Deerfield, IL office.
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
- Be the main point of contact for associates for all leave-related questions
- Provide excellent customer service to associates, supervisors, HR and Payroll by providing relevant information, helping them through the process, and answering questions
- Partner with our third-party administrator to ensure all associate leaves are adjudicated timely & accurately
- Update timekeeping and HRIS systems to reflect leave status changes
- Manage the Return-to-Work process for leaves
- Assist with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation and the interactive review process, where appropriate,
- Complete benefits invoicing process for associates on leave
- Stay current with legislative and regulatory changes
- Maintain user guides & training materials for supervisors and HR team members
With support from the Leave Supervisor, coordinate all leaves of absence programs for all Business Units across the US – currently:
- Short-Term Disability
- Long-Term Disability
- Family Medical Leave (federal, state, and local programs)
- Parental Leave
- Military Leave
- Personal Leave
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
- 5+ years of HR experience with 2 or more years of experience in compliance, risk management, leave administration, and/or vendor management
- Exceptional customer service skills, both verbal and written, for all internal & external customers
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Working knowledge of legal regulations including ADA, FMLA and State Leave programs
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & cloud-based filesharing platforms – Box
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with our HR Technology platforms – SmartRecruiters, Workday, UKGPro, Workforce Management
