Electrical Designer

Key Responsibilities

The Designer will support the goals and programs established by the management team. These

roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide and check drawings / BOM as per customer requirements.
• Prepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials) with no
• supervision from Engineer.
• Ensure drawings follow the Engineering and quality standards set by the leads.
• Prepare layout drawings to customer to present the proposed equipment and the
• function of the equipment.
• Prepare and complete various electrical deliverable drawings and documents such as
• cable routing, panel drawings, panel layout, electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams,
• loop diagrams, single-line electrical wiring schematics, cable schedule, lighting location /
• layout / plan, instrument location / layout / plan, earthing details, I/O (Input/output)
• schedule, electrical termination hook-ups, etc.
• Help in solving problems by simulating the problems in drawings.
• Prepare sequence drawing and procedure for Factory Acceptance Test.
• Prepare and compile installation procedure for submission to customer.
• Supervise the outsourcing of engineering design work to 3rd party engineering / design
• firms when needed.
• Review, as required, vendor data and drawings to ensure compliance with client
• specifications or applicable standards.
• Produce report data from models and assist in providing necessary design information to
• Project/Client/Third Party, as required.
• Provide and document “Lessons learned” feedback and utilize findings from the process
• to update tools and procedures.

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical scopes of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules
• (or similar large scale industries) or related environment in similar industry.
• Ability to produce drawings / sketches to illustrate design / ideas.
• Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale environments (strongly
• preferred) or similar large scale industries.
• High level understanding of the purpose of electrical system for facilities.
• General Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited
• to:
• IEC – International Electrotechnical Commission
• IBC – International Building Code
• OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration
• NEC – National Electric Code
• NFPA – National Fire Protection Association
• Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling
• (BIM) software

Computer Skills:

Mastery knowledge and proficiency in:

• Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
• PDF Editor (Adobe, Foxit, or other equivalent)
• Solid Works
• Autodesk AutoCAD (Mandatory)
• Navisworks Manager / Freedom
• Operational knowledge in:
• SAP (ERP Tool w/ Engineering Modules and Transactions)
• Autodesk Revit
• Autodesk BIM 360
