Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Applied Science or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience with advanced environmental engineering assessment, remediation, and due diligence experience in an environmental setting.
  • Proficiency in organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel under pressure and meet budget and project deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and represent York1 in a professional, competent, and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
  • Engage with remediation owners and other partners to understand regulatory findings, underlying root causes, and how remediation actions are being addressed.
  • Analyze projects to determine scope and schedule requirements to bring projects within budget and on schedule.
  • Manage and coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution.
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Assist in establishing, setting, and attaining goals for the Environmental Division and develop ideas, systems, and processes to improve project and team performance.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective utilization of manpower, supplies, utilities, and equipment while providing quality service.
  • Manage customer expectations by establishing and upholding standard processes, creating system efficiencies, and facilitating knowledge transfer.
