Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
Hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland.
Have a strong understanding of nursing care principles.
Be able to recognize signs of mental illness, emotional disturbances, or substance dependency.
Be proficient in phlebotomy and administering purified protein derivative tests.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals.
Assist with activities of daily living.
Collect vital signs, laboratory specimens, and patient health data.
Support sick call and assist providers with procedures.
Administer medications and maintain accurate medication administration record documentation.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes.
Conduct rounds and document patient progress.
Follow infection control and safety protocols.
Maintain medication security, including narcotics accountability.
Assist with patient transfers and required reporting.
